It goes without saying that the pandemic of 2020-2022 has forced churches, not only on Long Island but all across the country, to re-think and re-evaluate the way that churches do ministry in the 21st century. Less than 2 years ago media ministry was an option that most churches had not considered essential in the life of their congregations. However, the shut down of churches and the suspension of worship services has forced nearly all churches to adopt a media strategy.

Recognizing that things will never be the same again, the Ministerial Alliance of North Amityville and Vicinity will be hosting a FREE conference that will focus upon the changing needs of the local church. The conference will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2023 beginning at 9 AM at the Holy Trinity Baptist Church, 300 Albany Avenue in Amityville, NY.

The conference is being hosted by Dr. Vernon Shelton who has written several books but whose recent works seeks to address this problem that is currently challenging the faith community. The Holy Trinity Baptist Church family will be serving breakfast and lunch. The program of the day will feature a powerful presentation from Dr. Shelton along with several guest appearances from public officials who are anxious to share with members of the faith community how their churches can partner will local municipalities and governments to do what the church has uniquely been called to do and that is serve people.
