Bishop Walter C. Willie, Jr., Pastor and Founder of the Prayer Tabernacle Church of
God in Christ located in Amityville, New York. Prayer Tabernacle has been a part of the
National Church of God in Christ headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee for over 40
years. The Church of God in Christ has over 6 million members, over 10 thousand
churches throughout the United States, and 107 foreign countries.
In the Annual Business Session in April of 2025, Bishop Walter C. Willie Jr., was
appointed and approved by the General Assembly to be the Prelate of the newly
established Six Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Eastern New York Church of God in Christ
Inc. This Jurisdiction has over 30 churches that are organized and established to train
