One of the nicest persons you ever would want to meet was Joe Turner. Brother Turner is best known for his brilliant photography. For nearly 40 years he would show up at major events all over North Amityville and capture the event for posterity and on film. Joe was an “ole school” photographer who still perferred film over digital images but slowly made the transition to the newer platform in recent years.

In addition to the church community, who he served faithfully for many years, he also could be counted on by community organizations like the Amityville Police Department, Amityville Fire Department and the Amityville Record Newspaper. At the time of this writing arrangements for his funeral were not available.
