The season has changed and there are many other changes that are attached to this shift. Vacations are over, school is back in session, and we are all challenged with getting back to our norm. Autumn is the time when the leaves begin turning different colors, the blooming flowers are fading away, and the temperature is dropping. Although these are all the normal and necessary changes for this time of year; it is still a new experience for each of us. If you agree that this is of a time of change, I am curious of what kind change is happening in your personal space. Are you still operating in the same dogma as usual or has something new come over you? Is there something stirring on the inside that is yearning to come forth? The greater question is, “Where are you going?”
Our society today has us so spent, on going here and there, that we often lose sight of where we are really going. We allow ourselves to drown in the auspices of despair, doubt, discouragement, and drought. We have settled for the mediocrity of life rather than live the life that God has ordained for us. It is easier to be preoccupied than to be profound. We choose to stay in our comfort zones instead of stretching our limits to go to the next level. Finally, we are majoring on the minor, versus pursuing the vision that lives within us! I dare you to exert the courage to come forth and live the abundant life of fulfillment (real joy) and peace (harmony).
In order to experience true joy and peace, we need to live in our purpose. Living in your purpose will give you the fulfillment and peace that we search all over for. We have hidden behind careers, popularity, relationships, and possessions to give us a false sense of livelihood. Yet, none of these things are able to complete us in our yearning. So, let’s stop hiding, and come out from among them and change! Begin pondering the question, “Where am I going? What is my purpose? Why am i staying in this place, where I really don’t belong? When did I stop evolving into my authentic self?
It was in the trenches of my life that I had to stop and ask myself all of these questions. I had lost hope and I could not find my way out of my life of despair. However, once I began to look inside, instead of outside of myself, I could see the light of day. The more I looked at me, the more I was willing to face my challenges in order to come out of my comfort zone. One of the key lessons I learned is, nothing good comes out of a comfort zone. Facing my challenges helped me to be resuscitated to live a better life. What happened? I am glad you asked.
The short version is I realized my purpose that God placed inside of me. Everything that I went through lead me back to Him, to regain my life, my strength, and my hope. He breathed life into me through His word! Just like in the valley of dry bones, I was put back together again. He restored my life and sent me on my pilgrimage journey. I need you to know, the valley of dry bones wasn’t just for me. It represented all of the children of Israel. Therefore, none of us are exempt from the dry bones experience. What is more important is that you get resurrected. Whatever you might be going through is not unto death! You can get back up, by faith! The Lord says, if we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). There is no greater guarantee than the one we have in Christ Jesus. Revelation 3:20 says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” There is no other way to gain access to the life of fulfillment and peace. Jesus said, I am the Door; and he said, I am the way, the truth, and the life.
Well friends (in my Bishop Andy C. Lewter voice), it is time for us to change the trajectory of our lives. If you have confessed and/or professed to be a Christian, it is time for you to manifest it! Attending church is habitual, being the church is transformational. God has a plan and a direction for you to follow. His plan includes the fulfillment and the peace we need. Before He was crucified, he gave us His joy, that our joy might be fulfilled; and His peace that our hearts would not be troubled, neither be afraid. I write to encourage you to see the opportunities that are set before you and not the opposition.
There is something that I do not want you to miss. I have made mention of the door a few times as the remedy for your affliction. First, He knocks on your door because He wants to come in and commune with you. He already knows that you cannot do this assignment without Him. The gifts that He gave to you are accessed through Him. They were given to you before you were born; however, He perfects them upon your repentance and your resurrection. Second, He declares Himself as the Door! Once you enter into relationship with Him (do more than attend church on your Sabbath), He will pour new life in you. Ultimately, the way is Him. Putting your trust in Him, unlocks the door from sin to salvation.
This journey is not for the faint of heart. You will be tested and tried. You will do things you have never done before, but the benefits supersede the cost. The things that threaten your life before will not stand a chance against the armor of God. Your course is set by His divine intervention. What you thought was impossible, is possible. “Cast your cares on Him, because He cares for you!” He gives strength to the weak, food for the hungry, and water to the thirsty. Nothing is too hard for Him and no one is too far away for Him to reach. You have to be willing to walk through the door.
The Jewish nation is in the midst of celebrating Rosh Hashannah and Yom Kipper. They are celebrating the new year in recognition of the creation and the day of atonement. It is also the year of the Dalet, also known as the door. It is year 5784; the symbolism is denoted from the number 4. The Haly Ministries Prophetic Voice[i] says, “As we transition into 5784, let’s position our ears to hear what the Spirit is saying for the days ahead. God is releasing wisdom, discernment, and direction to those who wait upon Him. This is an important time to receive fresh vision and realignment. Open your heart as the Lord speaks through His word, dreams, and the prophetic voices He is raising up.”
Behind the prophetic door is deep transformation through divine reset. This is your moment to align with the Christ that is within you, and allow Him to shift, change, and transform your life.
