On Sunday, August 13, 2023, Bishop Walter Willie, Pastor of the Prayer Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, located in Amityville, NY, hosted an appreciation dinner for those who were involved in planning and implementing the Juneteenth celebration that was held at Tanner Park in Copiague on Monday, June 18th, 2023.

The dinner took place at the One Ten restaurant located on Route 110 in Melville, NY. at 4:30 PM. Approximately 20 persons were in attendance and included ministers who appeared on the program and were involved in making the program the success it turned out to be.

Already plans are being made to make the Juneteenth celebration in 2023 an even larger event than what it was this year. Again, we thank Bishop Walter Willie for his kindness and generousity.
