Introducing Our New Editor in Chief, Overseer Regina Carr

Amityville, NY — In an exciting development for the Ministerial Alliance of North Amityville and Vicinity, Pastor Regina Ravenell-Carr has been named the new Editor-in-Chief of the Gospel Express Newspaper. Pastor Carr, who has been a significant figure in the local ministry community, brings with her a wealth of experience and a fresh vision for the publication.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Pastor Carr spent her early years in the vibrant city before relocating to Amityville, NY. Her educational journey includes studies at Queens College (B.A. Communications and an A. A. Broadcast Communications), the State University of New York in Farmingdale, and Kingsborough Community College (A.A. Broadcast Communications). Further enhancing her theological foundation, she holds Biblical degrees from the First Baptist Church of Deer Park. With 23 years in ministry, Pastor Carr has served at both the Holy Trinity Baptist Church and the Living Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Amityville, NY. Currently, she ministers under the guidance of Apostle Wiley of the Oil of Joy Ministry and is the lead pastor of the Christian Uprise Through Edification Discipleship Ministry.

Pastor Carr is not only a dedicated minister but also an accomplished author. Her books, “Believing Beyond, A Journey from Unbelief to Great Faith” and “The Shoe Fits,” have resonated with many readers, and she eagerly anticipates the release of her third book by the end of this year. Beyond her literary contributions, she is a licensed spiritual coach accredited by the International Board of Christian Care, underscoring her commitment to personal and spiritual development.

In her personal life, Pastor Carr has been married to her husband Michael for 33 years, and together they have raised three children. Her family and faith are central to her life and work, providing a strong foundation for her new role.

Transitioning to her new position, Pastor Carr brings a history of active involvement with the Gospel Express. As a participating journalist, she has made significant contributions through her monthly Sunday School Corner and a regular life coaching column. Her positive influence is already evident, and her leadership is expected to propel the Gospel Express to new heights.
