On June 17, 2021, at the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic, an unprecedented time in our American History, Juneteenth was made a national holiday. Juneteenth now marks a celebration of freedom and sharing of the contributions of African Americans which have made this nation great.

Suffolk County Clergy, the Ministerial Alliance of North Amityville & Vicinity, One Long Island and Suffolk County Office of Minority Affairs have come together in a Spirit of Unity to commemorate Juneteenth with a bi-county, joyous celebration of the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and its culture.

With the theme of One Long Island “Spirit of Unity”, Our celebration will take place on Monday, June 19, 2023, at Tanner Park located at 400 Baylawn Ave, Copiague, NY.
