MANA BOOK REVIEW (In Deep But Never Too Deep For God’s Amazing Grace)

One of the objectives of the Ministerial Alliance of North Amityville and Vicinity is to expand the active membership of MANA beyond the borders of primarily pastors in our local area.  Toward that end, we have tried to invite and include participation from persons who are serving on the ministerial staff of churches that make up the roster of the Ministerial Alliance of North Amityville and Vicinity.

Membership in this category includes Elder Calvin Gordon who serves as an associate minister at the Hollywood Full Gospel Baptist Cathedral in Amityville, NY.  Pastor Gordon however also makes up a new category of membership and growing branch of members to the Ministerial Alliance of North Amityville and Vicinity.  Elder Gordon provides leadership as an online virtual pastor to the online ministry of Come to Me Ministry, which meets online several times a week.

Pastor Gordon was born in the state of Florida in the year 1951.  After high school, Pastor Gordon would join the U. S. Army and serve in active combat in Viet Nam.  After a dark period in his life Pastor Gordon would become an exemplary model of sobriety in the recovery rooms all across Long Island.

Pastor Gordon would begin his ministerial career as a deacon at the Hollywood Full Gospel Baptist Cathedral where he would later serve as the vice-chair of the board and chairman of the diakonate.  Feeling the tug of God upon his life, Pastor Gordon would enroll in the New Life School of Theology acquiring a Bachelor of Theology, which would serve as the foundation for his position as a minister and ordained elder of the church.

In addition to his work as a minister he soon developed into a powerful Christian author, releasing a book of meditations and an autobiography.  At the time of this reporting specific plans for his homegoing were not available but we invite you to the website of the Hollywood Full Gospel Baptist Cathedral for a video replay of his homegoing service.
