On Monday, January 16, 2023, the North Amityville Community will gather at the Bethel AME Church in Copiague to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. Since 1989, this has been a featured part of the Ministerial Alliance of North Amityville and Vicinity calendar and highly sought-after event by the Community at large. Usually, a local minister is invited to lead the worship experience, this year the MANA is shifting its focus ever so slightly with the election of a new slate of officers. The installation of those individuals will be embedded into the overall program of the Martin Luther King celebration. In addition to the installation, there will be a clergy recognition ceremony that will celebrate those in ministry in the MANA membership.
The Keynote speaker for the MLK celebration and installation of officers will be Bishop Frank W. White, pastor of the Zion Cathedral, Church of God in Christ, in Freeport, New York and general officer (financial secretary) of Church of God in Christ denominations. Service will begin at 10:00 AM and promises to be an outstanding event. For more information and to register your clergy persons to be recognized, please contact our Administrator, Elder Deidrea Sealy, 631-933-0226
