On Friday, August 11, 2023, Mother Verlie Jackson was celebrated in an homegoing service at the Hollywood Full Gospel Baptist Cathedral in Amityville, NY. Verlie Jackson was the mother of Pastor John Jackson of the New Hope Institutional Baptist Church, who passed approximately five years ago and was a stalwart member of the Ministerial Alliance of North Amityville, NY.

Mother Jackson was eulogized by Pastor Donnie McClurkin who was personal friend of the family. The service concluded at the Amityville Cemetary with a host of friends and family members.
