Hollywood Full Gospel to Celebrate 82nd Church Anniversary with Bishop Kim Davis

In August of 1941 a select group of African American Christians began to have worship services in the Breslau Gardens section of East Farmingdale. What started out as a Sunday School meeting for mostly children in the neighborhood grew into a full fledged church and by 1952 the congregation relocated to its current location on Great Neck Road in Amityville, NY. This move was facilitated by the first pastor of the church, Rev. Frank P. Rogers, Sr. who was followed by Rev. Frank P. Rogers, Jr. and then Rev. V. M. Bailey and Dr. Andy C. “Daddy” Lewter.

On Sunday, October 15, 2023, the church will celebrate its 82nd Church Anniversary. To help celebrate the occasion will be Bishop Kim Davis, State Bishop of Delaware and Pastor of the River Full Gospel Baptist Church in Wilmington, DE and the Ebenezer Full Gospel Baptist Church in Downeytown, PA. Bishop Davis was recently elevated to the office of Bishop and now serves the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship as a state bishop and Bishop overseeing the work of the District Overseers around the country.

The service will take place at 11 AM on the above-mentioned date and we invite everyone to join us for an exciting celebration and fellowship.
