A follower is a person who believes in a particular cause, faith, or specific person. Followership is the ability to accomplish goals under a leader’s direction. Successful followership involves following instructions, completing assigned tasks, supporting initiatives and being motivated. Good followers see the value in listening to others and helping achieve their vision. The Book of Acts is significant to the church today because it provides a historical account of the early church, detailing how the Christian faith spread from Jerusalem and demonstrating the power of the Holy Spirit in establishing and growing the church

In the first lesson, it picks up in the midst of the Pentecost.  The Bible says they were all there all there with one accord. The all refers to men from different regions. They had come together for the Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit had come. As Peter began to preach the gospel for their understanding, “All that believed were together and had all things common (2:44). It caused “Fellowship and Sharing among Believers.” God desires for all believers to be on one accord and experience the fellowship of one another from different ends of the earth.

Question: What does it mean that the believer had, “favour with all the people (v.47)?

Lesson 2 takes on Paul’s missionary journey. Although he had been constrained by the Holy Spirit to not travel. He later received a vision of a man in Macedonia praying, ‘Come over into Macedonia and help us.’ Following the leading of the Holy Spirit, Paul journeyed to Philippi, a city in Macedonia. On the Sabbath, they went out of the city by the river and met Lydia, a worshipper. They sat and spoke to the; Lydia became a believer and invited them to her home. “Ludia’s Hospitality,” was an open door the heart of the people and they shared the good news to her and her household.

Question: How did Lydia help the missionaries after her conversion?

Finally, Paul continues his missionary journey and is acquainted with, “Priscilla, Aquila, and Apollos.” Paul encounters this couple and abode with them because of their same professions. However, they are enlightened by the witness and testimony of Jesus the Christ.  Priscilla and Aquila are persuaded and are able to pass on the message of Jesus the Christ to Apollos. This act of witnessing causing the church to grow and to spread the gospel of Jesus the Christ.

.

Question: How did Aquila and Priscilla deal with Apollos’s lack of understanding of Christian teaching?
